The Nutrition Month is an annual campaign held every July, as mandated by PD 491, also known as the Nutrition Act of the Philippines. Such aims to create greater awareness among Filipinos on the importance of nutrition.
The Philippine Heart Center - Nutrition and Dietetics Division spearheads the celebration of the 44th National Nutrition Month with the theme "Ugaliing Magtanim, Sapat na Nutrition Aanihin."
The objective of this year’s theme is:
  1. To contribute to improve food access by increasing the number of households, school, and communities engaged in food garden;
  2. To improve income through sales from homegrown produce; and
  3. To promote the Philippine Plan of Action (PPAN) 2017-2022 to address malnutrition in the country.
