CERTIFIED NURSES' DAY
December 15, 2014, was a day to honor and recognize the important achievements of 69 staff nurses that was held at Dr. Avenilo P. Aventura Hall. (After they attended the competency-based certification programs such as Basic Clinical Skills, Basic ICU Skills Competency, Basic Skills in Hemodialysis and DOH Nurse Certification in Cardiovascular Nursing Program). Thus, certification programs refer to a system of assessment and grading that are based on candidates' demonstrating the knowledge and skills they are expected to learn as they progress through their nursing profession. Once they meet the requirements they will be certified and recognized. That makes Certification a milestone of personal excellence along the professional journey of a nurse.
