The Philippine Heart Center was recently chosen as a pilot organization in the Asian launch of the new Qmentum International Accreditation program of Accreditation Canada, it was announced by Mr. Sebastien Audette, director for international affairs.

As a pilot organization, the PHC willingly subjects itself and its practices to an external and independent review by Accreditation Canada. The goal is to elevate the Center's current primary concern for patient safety and quality of care to the level of international best practices.

Health Secretary Esperanza I. Cabral and the Board of Trustees for Specialized Centers congratulated the Heart Center management and staff for qualifying as a pilot organization for international accrediation.
